More than 20 years in the making, Harrisburg YMCA provides a vibrant hub for community, health, and wellness to the Piedmont. The 56,000-square-foot facility features a competition pool, fitness center, three gyms, group exercise studios, family locker rooms, a community health center, offices, and a playhouse designed for connection and growth.
Stewart provided structural engineering for the primarily single-story facility, which includes internal mezzanines for mechanical and electrical systems, a spectator area overlooking the pool, and an elevated walking track suspended from the roof framing.
With support from Morris-Berg Architect and the dedication of the Harrisburg YMCA and Town of Harrisburg, this new community center marks an exciting chapter of wellness for Harrisburg.
