What We Do

Stewart’s Bridge and Roadway Structures projects include a variety of user types and settings, from roadway bridges and railroad structures to retaining walls, pedestrian boardwalks, and multi-use greenway bridges. The Bridge and Roadway Structures Engineers coordinate closely with roadway designers, hydraulic designers, and other disciplines to determine the optimal structure type for the site, conditions and uses.

The team is well-versed in applicable standards and codes, including NCDOT Structure Design Manual, Subregional Tier Guidelines, NCDOT Standard Drawings, AASHTO LRFD Bridge specifications and other applicable NCDOT, FHWA, AREMA, Coast Guard, and stakeholder criteria.
