A large part of Stewart’s project portfolio includes civic facilities throughout the Southeast. We have provided engineering, design, transportation, and surveying services for fire stations, police stations, town halls, emergency operations centers and other municipal facilities.

Structural design expertise includes supporting the facility’s architectural features such as reinforcements for essential use areas, high-bay fire truck spaces and secure entrances at court facilities. Our team has experience in high seismic and hurricane-prone areas and renovations to upgrade structures to meet new code requirements.

The site design considers how staff and citizens use the facility, including how landscape design can highlight building entrances to provide universal access, Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) principles, code-compliant planting plans, circulation design, utility design, and permitting.
