Stewart provided structural engineering on this new, three-story, 117,000-square-foot building addition connected to the existing Randall Library as an expansion of the library. Renovations to the existing building included a new entrance and structural modifications at the connection with the addition. Challenges of the project included connecting the new addition with the existing building and ensuring that the structure was designed for high wind speeds due to the project’s coastal location.
